CoolSculpting in Chandler, AZ

Coolsculpting® gently and successfully targets the fat cells underneath the skin while leaving the skin itself unaffected. It is a FDA-approved fat-reducing technology that offers results that are lasting and most importantly safe. This controlled cooling process causes crystallization of the lipids in the fat cells, damaging the cells and leading to gradual, safe elimination by your body’s normal metabolic processes.

During the procedure, tissue is drawn into a cup with mild vacuum pressure although you may be slightly uncomfortable with the contact of the cold as the procedure begins it usually goes away after the first 10 minutes or so. The entire treatment process lasts an average of 1 ½ hours, sometimes longer depending on the number of areas treated. There is no anesthesia needed or recovery time. After the treatment is completed, patients may immediately return to their normal activities including work and exercise. This reduction of fat flattens and smoothes the fat bulges and patients will see improvement within 2-4 months.

Frequently Asked CoolSculpting Questions

Am I a good candidate for CoolSculpting?

Anyone who is not overweight or obese yet has targeted areas of unwanted fat that doesn’t respond to diet or exercise are good candidates for CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting is NOT a weight loss program. Potential clients should be less than 30 pounds from their ideal body weight. CoolSculpting is ideal for those smaller stubborn areas of unwanted fat that do not respond to diet and exercise.

How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting works by facilitating a cooling process to freeze targeted fat cells that then break down and are eliminated from the body. Freezing fat causes it to crystallize which destroys the fat cells. Through multiple CoolSculpting cycles, the area of unwanted fat can be slimmed through a gradual process and leave you with a natural appearance.

Where does the treated fat go?

The treated fat cells are gradually removed from the treated area and are eliminated by the body. Remember, the treated cells are gone for good.

Will I lose weight with CoolSculpting?

The simple answer is no. CoolSculpting is not a weight loss program. It is meant to treat problematic and stubborn fat deposits in clients that are less than 30 pounds from their ideal weight. As with the body sculpting procedures, if you gain weight it will change the appearance of the treated area. Many clients feel that they get a kick start to leading a healthier lifestyle to include diet and exercise.

How long does the CoolSculpting Procedure take?

A single treatment of CoolSculpting can take as little as 35 minutes or up to 60 minutes for each cycle depending on which handpiece is used. The overall time of treatment would depend on the number of CoolSculpting cycles needed and the selected handpieces needed to treat your problem areas.

How soon can I see results from CoolSculpting?

Many clients will notice an improvement in the areas of unwanted fat starting at two to three weeks after the CoolSculpting treatment. The more noticeable results can be visible in about two months after treatment. You may even continue to see improvement for four to six months as your body removes the fat cells from the treated area(s).

What common areas are typically treated with CoolSculpting?

The typical areas for CoolSculpting treatments include the abdomen, flanks, love handles, arms, bra fat, back fat, inner thigh, outer thigh, banana roll (the area just below the buttock).

What does CoolSculpting feel like?

As the CoolSculpting procedure begins, it is common to feel pressure and intense cold. Some of the applicators used will cause a pulling sensation as the treated area is suctioned into the handpiece. This feeling quickly leaves after the beginning of the cycle. The area will normally go numb within about five to ten minutes due to the cold. Patients can generally watch videos, work on their laptops, read or listen to music. Some clients will take a nap.

Are there any risks and complications associated with CoolSculpting?

The CoolSculpting procedure may cause a tugging and pulling sensation, mild pinching with some stinging and the sensation of intense cold during treatment. After treatment, the skin will appear red and feel firm to the touch. The area may feel numb, tender and have some bruising. There is a small percentage of clients that may develop pain in the treated area.

Is there any downtime with CoolSculpting?

There is no downtime necessary with CoolSculpting. Most men and women will go back to their daily activities immediately after their treatment. There is no reason to miss work with treatment.
